Liam Dale - Practical Martial Association - Senior Coach. Level 2 Coaching Tutor (Coaching Ireland), Technical Advisor Wushu Ireland.
Member of the Irish Martial Arts Commission (IMAC).
Liam is a highly experienced Martial Artist and certified Aerobic and Gym Instructor. With a 40 year background studying Chinese Martial Arts & also a World Champion Kickboxer. From his youthful days learning Chinese boxing & kickboxing under the highly renowned Master Christy Dennisson, Liam was drawn towards the more philosophical approach of the traditional Chinese Martial Arts and reached Chief Instructor level in Shaolin Kung Fu & Black sash instructor in Hung Sing Choy Lay Fut (Master Samuel Lee) respectively.
Natural progression led him to a further research and study of the Internal Styles of Wuzu Kwan, Tai Chi Chuan and Baguazhang. A firm believer in "learning to fight so one can choose not to do so" Liam drew great inspiration from the higher minded philosophies and mind sets offered by the traditional Arts.
Finding himself curious as to how this understanding would hold up under the pressure of the competitive arena. He returned to competition for one last time, Liam applied this accumulation of knowledge and experience and won 3 national championships, the WAKO European Championships in 2014 and then the WAKO World Championships in 2015.. Today, Liam's focus remains on the health giving and philosophical benefits of the ancient Chinese martial traditions. "Learning martial arts is not about just becoming good at fighting. In fact, this should not be the sole consideration when deciding to follow the martial path. Instead look to the health & character building aspects that your practice can deliver for you. Repetition over time equals results and if your effort is honest and you persevere, then Self Defence skills are bound to manifest. Along with a sound body and strong mind.
Quite simply, Your effort, Your outcome!
